I always thought that if I was going to get married I’d want to get married SCA-style, medieval-style, because all of the people I’d want to invite are medieval recreation-type people. I just couldn’t see any other way of doing it. I mean, modern weddings make me sick: meringue dresses — ewww!
All these things, all these traditions that happen at a wedding that people have forgotten why they do them, but they do them anyway. If you go back to the medieval stuff, you can do them for the reasons that they were done.
